Teenagers may self refer in the same way as adults. Children between the ages of 13 - 16 may be regarded as competent to make their own decisions and therefore not require a parent meeting or consent. (This is often referred to as ‘Gillick competence’ and is based on the child's age, maturity and understanding of the circumstances). 

In all cases where the child or young person is not considered to have the mental capacity to consent to therapy, someone with parental responsibility for the child or young person will need to give consent.

Normally, young people between the ages of 16 and 18 don’t require parental consent or an initial meeting but if necessary, these will be carried out with the explicit agreement of the client. 

Payment for all sessions is required 24 hours in advance via bank transfer. (Details of which can be found in the client contract).
